Harry Maguire graciously accepts apology from Ghanaian MP, Isaac Adongo

Manchester United’s Harry Maguire has gracefully accepted an apology from Ghanaian Member of Parliament, Isaac Adongo, who had taunted him during a parliamentary session last year.

Adongo had directed an unusual jibe at Maguire while discrediting his political opponent’s economic policies, drawing a comparison between Maguire and Ghana’s vice-president Mahamudu Bawumia, accusing the latter of scoring political ‘own goals.’

This incident occurred during a challenging period for Maguire at Manchester United, as he had lost his place in the team under manager Erik ten Hag.

On Tuesday, Adongo extended an apology to Maguire, acknowledging the centre-back as a ‘transformational footballer.’

In response, Maguire took to Twitter on Wednesday to convey his acceptance of Adongo’s apology, writing, “MP Isaac Adongo’s apology accepted. See you at Old Trafford soon.”
