Supreme Court will do justice to Mutfwang, Lawal — PDP govs

The Peoples Democratic Party Governors Forum has expressed confidence in the Supreme Court doing justice to the sack of Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State and his counterpart from Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal.

Media Talk Africa recalls that the Appeal Court sacked Mutfwang and Lawal for various electoral infractions.

However, the forum described the judgements of the Appeal Court as a temporary setback.

They disclosed this in a communiqué issued after a meeting held in Abuja on Thursday.

The communique reads: “The meeting reviewed the recent judgements of the Court of Appeal concerning governors of various states and noted the mixed outcomes.

“As a forum, we once again re-state our overall confidence in the judiciary to do justice. We believe that the Supreme Court will do justice in the cases where we recorded temporary setbacks like Zamfara and Plateau States.”
