Arteta Offers Support as Everton Faces 10-Point Deduction in EPL

In a show of solidarity, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has expressed his confidence in Everton’s ability to overcome the challenges posed by a 10-point deduction for financial breaches, which has resulted in the club being placed in the Premier League relegation zone.

Arteta, who spent six years at Everton playing over 200 games, conveyed his emotional connection to the club during a media interaction on Friday. He acknowledged the tough situation Everton finds itself in and offered his support.

Currently, Everton is set to face Manchester United on level points with the bottom club, Burnley, both holding four points in the Premier League standings.

“It’s a very difficult moment. Obviously it puts the club in a difficult position but they have been in many other difficult positions and they always find a way to get out,” Arteta stated. “If there is a quality that I think describes that club, it is the courage and determination, and they will fight against anything, and I wish them the best.”
