Asake Tops Spotify’s 2023 Most-Streamed Artist Chart in Nigeria

Renowned Nigerian vocalist, Ahmed Ololade, better known as Asake, has emerged as the most streamed artist in Nigeria for the year 2023 according to Spotify, the popular streaming platform.

Asake’s influence on the Nigerian music scene was underscored by the fact that three of his songs secured positions in the top 10 most streamed tracks on Spotify in Nigeria. Notably, his track ‘Lonely at the Top’ claimed the coveted top spot, while ‘2:30’ secured fourth position, and ‘Amapiano,’ featuring Olamide, made its mark at 10th position.

During this year’s Spotify Wrapped for Nigeria, Asake clinched the first position, with Burna Boy following closely in second place and Davido taking the third spot. The fourth and fifth positions were secured by Seyi Vibez and Omah Lay respectively, followed by BNXN, Rema, Odumodublvck, Olamide, and Wizkid, rounding up the top 10.

Notably, Asake’s musical prowess extended beyond Nigeria, as he also claimed the title of the most streamed artist in Togo and Ghana.
