President Tinubu Strengthens Climate Alliance with King Charles III

Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, engaged in a bilateral meeting with His Majesty, King Charles III, during the sidelines of the prestigious COP28 Climate Summit in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The two leaders discussed critical climate issues, cementing Nigeria’s stance as a proactive player in global environmental cooperation.

President Tinubu took to social media, X (formerly known as Twitter), to share the outcomes of the meeting. He indicated that the discussion was highly productive, highlighting the significance of the alliance between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.

President Tinubu, in a tweet, expressed, “I had a productive meeting with His Majesty, King Charles III of England, who is also the Head of the Commonwealth and a passionate climate advocate.” He emphasized the positive prospects of the partnership, signaling optimism for its transformative influence on global environmental standards as deliberated at COP28.
