Portable Vows to Perform Despite Celestial Church Controversy

Controversial Nigerian artist, Portable, has spoken out after being abruptly removed from a Celestial Church event, affirming his commitment to honor his agreement.

The uproar began when a Lagos-based church announced the participation of popular Fuji musician, Pasuma, and Portable in an upcoming program, sparking widespread debate.

In response to the unfolding events, Celestial Church leader, Olatosho Oshoffa, took to Facebook to declare the withdrawal of Portable and Pasuma from the praise night lineup.

Undeterred, Portable addressed the situation in a viral video, asserting his eagerness to fulfill his performance obligation to the church.

“I am determined to honor the commitment with the Celestial church. You have contracted and paid me N5 million for my performance. Pasuma will be there, and I intend to be there as well. It’s a promise we must uphold,” Portable expressed passionately.

With an appeal to the church, he added, “The congregation of the Land of Goshen Cathedral, I implore you, in the name of God, to consider us as fellow children of God. Please, do not judge me solely based on my appearance.”

Portable’s unwavering declaration sets the stage for a potential resolution to the controversy, as the music industry and the church community closely monitor the unfolding events.
