The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has issued a directive for the directors of agencies under the ministry to hand over to the most senior officers. The move, aimed at effecting reorganization within the agencies, was communicated in a statement released by the ministry’s spokesperson, Odutayo Oluseyi, on Thursday in Abuja.

The affected agencies include the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Nigeria Meteorological Agency (NiMET), Nigeria Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), and Nigeria Safety and Investigation Bureau (NSIB).

“In line with the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu to reposition the aviation industry and ensure safety and efficient air travel experience for Nigerians, I am directed to inform all directors of the mentioned agencies that they have been relieved of their appointments forthwith. They are to hand over to the most senior officer in their respective directorates with immediate effect. Board Secretaries and Legal Advisers of the agencies are not affected by this directive,” the statement read.

President Tinubu recently approved the suspension, removal, and replacement of various Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) and heads of agencies under the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development.
