Taiwo Awoniyi Making Strides in Recovery from Injury, Says Nottingham Forest Manager

Nottingham Forest manager, Steve Cooper, has provided an update on the recovery of Super Eagles forward, Taiwo Awoniyi, indicating positive progress in his rehabilitation.

Awoniyi, who sustained a groin injury while on international duty last month, underwent a surgical procedure and is anticipated to resume playing in the new year.

Cooper expressed optimism about Awoniyi’s recovery, stating, “Taiwo’s injury is the obvious long-term one. He is going well but he is a long, long way from being back involved in games. But his program is going well. He had a positive appointment this week. He doesn’t enjoy being injured but he is staying positive in his mentality.”

The 26-year-old forward has made 10 league appearances for Forest this season, netting four goals. Despite the setback, Cooper’s remarks exude confidence in Awoniyi’s determination and the promising trajectory of his recuperation.
