In a disappointing turn of events, Manchester City faced a setback as they were held to a 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace, prompting Pep Guardiola to express his frustration over his team’s failure to secure victories. Despite initially securing a 2-0 lead courtesy of goals from Jack Grealish and Rico Lewis, City succumbed to a late equalizer from Jean-Philippe Mateta and a subsequent penalty by Michael Olise.

Addressing the media after the match, a visibly perturbed Guardiola lamented his team’s consistent struggles to see out games, citing similar challenges faced against Liverpool and Spurs. “We are not able to win games. It happened here against Liverpool. It happened here against Spurs, and we cannot take points. We cannot do anything else,” Guardiola stated.

The recurring issue of conceding late goals has particularly irked the City manager. Guardiola asserted, “It’s not bad luck, it’s deserved. We give away two points. You give away this penalty, you deserve it.”

This latest stumble sheds light on the pressing need for Manchester City to address their game management and defensive resilience, as they aim to maintain their standing as title contenders in the Premier League.
