The Kano State Government has pledged to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the recent devastating fire outbreak at the Gwale Local Government Council secretariat. The incident, which took place on December 13, resulted in severe damage to 18 offices and the destruction of properties valued at millions of Naira.

Deputy Governor Aminu Gwarzo, who also serves as the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, made this announcement during his visit to the affected council secretariat to assess the extent of the devastation caused by the fire.

In addition, he reassured the public that the government, under the leadership of Governor Kabiru Yusuf, is steadfastly dedicated to upholding justice, particularly in the imminent Supreme Court judgment. Gwarzo urged the citizens of Kano State to maintain calm and abide by the law, emphasizing that the government remains committed to implementing commendable projects that will enhance the welfare of the populace.

“We will not rest until the perpetrators are apprehended and brought to justice,” stated Gwarzo. “We will not allow ourselves to be swayed from our mandate by troublemakers, as it is the primary objective of those sowing discord in Kano. Governor Abba is resolute and focused on securing victory, regardless of the challenges.”

Furthermore, he affirmed the state government’s determination to prevent the burning or destruction of public properties. Gwarzo urged all residents to remain composed, emphasizing that the current administration is fully prepared to address any individual who poses a threat to the peaceful coexistence within the state.
