The Adamawa Police Command has validated the assault by gunmen on Kwapre community in Hong Local Government Area, Adamawa State. The incident, which transpired on Christmas Day, resulted in the deployment of officers and the initiation of an investigation by Commissioner of Police, Babatola Afolabi.
SP Suleiman Nguroje, the command’s spokesperson, confirmed the attack and stated that the authorities are earnestly looking into the matter. He urged the public to promptly report any dubious individuals to the police and other security agencies to fortify the security not only in Adamawa but across the entire country.
Simon Buba, the District Head of Dugwaba, corroborated the report and informed the press that two individuals lost their lives during the attack. Buba further revealed that the assailants, suspected to be affiliated with Boko Haram, looted food supplies and swiftly fled towards the Sambisa Forest.
