Police Service Commission Denounces Fraudulent Recruitment Scheme

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has taken a decisive stand against a fraudulent recruitment invitation circulating on social media, demanding N2,000 for screening aspiring Constables in the Nigeria Police Force.

In a resolute statement released in Abuja, PSC’s spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, unequivocally disassociated the commission from the deceptive publication, categorically labeling it as fictitious and misleading.

Ani reiterated that the ongoing recruitment process remains unequivocally free, emphasizing that no fees are required from the registration phase to the conclusion, including the medical examination.

Emphatically, Ani reaffirmed the PSC’s unwavering position, asserting that the commission steadfastly stands by its declaration and unequivocally does not mandate the payment of N2,000 for screening prospective candidates.

Furthermore, he conveyed the PSC’s unwavering determination to no longer tolerate the intrusion of fraudsters intent on subverting the integrity of the recruitment process.

Ani extended a firm call to prospective candidates, urging them to dismiss the fraudulent messages, emphasizing that the Police Recruitment Board is actively and legitimately communicating with successful candidates, furnishing them with comprehensive information regarding the screening requirements.
Ani pledged the PSC’s commitment to ensuring the utmost transparency and adherence to merit-based principles, underscoring its compliance with the Federal Character principles.

In a final admonition, Ani urged candidates to uphold integrity and eschew any inclinations to circumvent the established regulations, emphasizing that stringent measures have been put in place to safeguard the integrity of the recruitment process.
