Rivers Peace Accord: Tinubu Thwarts Wike’s Ambitions, Claims Political Victory

In a surprising turn of events, Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, former spokesperson for the defunct new Peoples Democratic Party, boldly proclaimed an end to Nyesom Wike’s aspirations of becoming the influential leader, or “jagaban,” of Rivers State. Eze dismissed Wike’s relevance in the state and the country, suggesting that his political career had reached its conclusion due to his widely known controversial past.

Eze expressed astonishment at President Bola Tinubu’s involvement in a peace accord between Governor Fubara and Nyesom Wike, implying that it was a ploy to undermine Wike’s political standing. He voiced his disappointment in the democratic principles allegedly disregarded during the accord, insinuating that it was orchestrated to diminish Wike’s influence and disrupt his ambitions.

Furthermore, Eze commended President Tinubu for diminishing Wike’s political standing, portraying the peace accord as a strategic move to destabilize Wike’s hold on Rivers State. He depicted the current state of peace in Rivers as artificial and suggested that the people of Rivers State would resist any attempt to manipulate their political landscape.

Eze reiterated that Wike’s political relevance had diminished, cautioning others against aligning with him and implying that his dreams of dominating Rivers State, akin to the “jagaban” of Lagos, had been shattered.

In essence, Eze’s comments serve as a poignant testament to the shifting political dynamics and power struggles, leaving a trail of upheaval and uncertainty in the political landscape of Rivers State.
