The FA Cup fourth round clash between West Brom and Wolves was suspended after crowd trouble.

Both sets of players left the field and returned to their respective dressing rooms after 82 minutes played at Hawthorns.

It came just moments after Matheus Cunha doubled Wolves’ lead, with Gary O’Neil’s side leading 2-0 with eight minutes to go.

ITV commentators said fights broke out in two separate sections of the stadium, with police struggling to contain one incident in the Birmingham Road End.

The BBC say missiles were thrown from the away end and into the away end following the second goal.

West Brom defender Kyle Bartley was seen hugging his daughter after retrieving her from the stands after the incident.

A note on the big screen at the Hawthorns pleaded with fans to return to their seats so that the game could be resumed.

The two local rivals haven’t played one another in front of fans for over 12 years.
