Nigerian Comedian AY Takes Legal Action Over Alleged Affair Rumors

Renowned Nigerian comedian, Ayo Makun, known as AY, has recently lodged a formal petition with the police against Agozi Samuel. This action comes in response to Samuel’s public claim that he is romantically involved with May Edochie, the former wife of actor Yul Edochie.

The controversy unfolded when Samuel made the sensational allegation on his Facebook page, insinuating that AY and May Edochie were engaged in an extramarital relationship with plans of marriage. In light of these claims, AY has sought the intervention of the Delta State Police Command, taking legal recourse against the accused.

Dated January 24, the petition, filed by AY’s legal representatives, cites criminal defamation and cyberstalking as grounds for Samuel’s arrest and prosecution. The document asserts that the damaging allegations have inflicted unwarranted harm upon AY’s personal and professional life, besmirching his reputation and casting aspersions on his character.

AY vehemently refutes the baseless accusations, emphasizing the detrimental impact on his standing in the public eye, as well as his relationships with friends and business associates. He implores the authorities to promptly investigate and apprehend Samuel, presenting evidence of the defamatory and malicious nature of the claims.

The comedian’s impassioned plea for swift and decisive action underscores the grave repercussions of unfounded rumors in the age of viral social media, as individuals navigate the perils of cyberbullying and reputational damage. AY’s proactive stance serves as a high-profile example of refusing to succumb to the perils of character assassination through misinformation and slander.
