Tinubu’s Focus on Tackling Insecurity and Hardship in Nigeria, Says Gbajabiamila

Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, emphasized that President Tinubu’s primary concern is addressing the prevalent issues of insecurity and economic hardship in Nigeria. Gbajabiamila highlighted the imperative nature of removing the fuel subsidy in Tinubu’s reform agenda, assuring that its benefits would soon materialize.

Speaking to journalists after voting in the House of Representatives by-election in Lagos State, Gbajabiamila stated that President Tinubu is wholly committed to tackling the challenges of insecurity and economic hardship. He reiterated, “Tinubu has his gaze fixed on solving the problems. He met a lot on ground; we’ve had these issues for years, and I think we have somebody who would address those issues and address them well.”

Gbajabiamila, who vacated his House of Assembly seat to assume the role of Chief of Staff to Tinubu, had previously served as the Speaker of the House of Representatives. He secured re-election to the House for the sixth consecutive term during the National Assembly election on February 25, 2023.
