NPFL Match Between Sporting Lagos and Rivers United Postponed Due to Unavailable Stadium

The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) has once again delayed the match between Sporting Lagos and Rivers United, which was rescheduled for matchday 13. Originally set for Thursday, February 8, 2024, at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, the game has been pushed to a later date due to stadium unavailability.
The NPFL cited the unavailability of the Remo Stars Stadium as the reason for the postponement. This decision comes after the game was moved from its initial venue, the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, also due to stadium unavailability in Lagos.
Rivers United, who had arrived in Lagos two days earlier before relocating to Ikenne on Wednesday, will now shift their focus to their upcoming match against Shooting Stars in Ibadan.
This fixture was rescheduled from matchday 15 due to Rivers United’s participation in the CAF Confederation Cup. The match is now scheduled to take place at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Adamasingba, Ibadan on Saturday.
