Two newly elected members, Alhaji Abubakar Magaji (PDP, Bodinga North) and Alhaji Bashir Dahiru (APC, Tambuwal West), have been sworn in at the Sokoto State House of Assembly following the February 3 rerun election in two constituencies of the state.

The Speaker of the Assembly, Alhaji Tukur Bala, administered the oath of office to the new members at the plenary in Sokoto on Tuesday.

The lawmakers expressed gratitude to their constituents for electing them to serve as their representatives and pledged their loyalty to the leadership of the house and its standing rules.
