Tragic Helicopter Crash Could Have Been Prevented, Says US Lawyer

Robert Clifford, a prominent aviation lawyer from the United States, has asserted that the recent helicopter crash in California, claiming the lives of Herbert Wigwe, CEO of Access Holdings, and his family, was potentially avoidable. The fatal crash resulted in the loss of several lives, including those of prominent individuals such as Abimola Ogunbanjo, the former Group Chairman of the Nigerian Stock Exchange.

In a press statement released on the company’s website, Clifford, the Founder and Senior Partner of Clifford Law Offices in Chicago, expressed his concerns about the circumstances surrounding the crash. The Airbus Helicopter EC130B4 went down at a border town between California and Nevada, prompting an ongoing investigation by the US National Transportation Safety Board.

“The crash of a helicopter that killed six people including a top Nigerian banker and his family along the California-Nevada border Saturday night immediately strikes one as a tragedy that may have been avoided given the known weather conditions at that time,” Clifford stated in the released statement. He emphasized the importance of the ongoing investigation by the US National Transportation Safety Board to determine the preventability of the crash.

The tragic events have prompted global attention and brought into focus the need for thorough investigations and accountability in aviation incidents. As the investigation unfolds, the world awaits conclusive findings regarding the circumstances leading up to the devastating crash.
