Nollywood Actor Deyemi Okanlawon Opens Up About Lack of Recognition

Okanlawon maintained that while he would graciously accept an award if offered, he refuses to let the validation of awards define his worth. The thespian further highlighted that external validation should not hold the power to define an individual’s value, stating, “If anything, my presence should validate an award, not the other way round.”
