Abduction of 15 Islamic School Pupils in Sokoto: Police Confirm Rescue Efforts

The Police Command in Sokoto State has confirmed the abduction of 15 Islamic school pupils and a woman in Gidan Bakuso, a village in Gada Local Government Area of the state. According to ASP Ahmad Rufa’i, the spokesperson of the command, the abduction occurred in the early hours of Saturday. The perpetrators took advantage of the village’s remote location to carry out their heinous act.

Mr. Rufa’i highlighted the lack of access roads to some villages as a major challenge faced by security agencies in the state, hindering a swift response to such incidents. However, he assured the public that the command’s tactical team has been mobilized to rescue the victims, and security agencies are actively working to resolve the situation.

In light of this distressing event, the public is urged to provide any relevant information that could aid in the ongoing rescue efforts. The security agencies are counting on the support and cooperation of the community to ensure the safe return of the abducted individuals.

Let us stand together in solidarity and vigilance against such acts of violence, as we strive to create a safer and more secure environment for all members of society.
