WHO Donates Mini COVID-19 Labs to Plateau Government for Improved Healthcare

The Plateau Government received a generous donation from the World Health Organisation (WHO) in the form of two mini COVID-19 laboratories. Dr. Musa Mahdi, the WHO Coordinator in the state, handed over the facilities with confidence in the state’s ability to maintain the high standards of the labs.

Represented by Dr. Andrew Abiodun, Dr. Mahdi highlighted that these laboratories would improve access to quality healthcare services for the people of Plateau State. In response, Dr. Cletus Bako, the Commissioner for Health, expressed gratitude to the donors for their support.

The mini laboratories, situated in Primary Healthcare Centres in Bukuru and Tudun Wada, Jos South and Jos North Local Government Area, will play a crucial role in diagnosing medical conditions and enhancing healthcare services in the region.

This significant contribution from the WHO underscores the importance of collaboration in improving healthcare infrastructure and services for communities in need. The impact of these mini laboratories will be felt by many, ensuring better healthcare outcomes for the people of Plateau State.
