Shade Ladipo Explains Why She Doesn’t Want Children at 42

In a recent interview with popular Nigerian media personality Shade Ladipo, she candidly shared her reasons for not wanting to have children. As she approaches her 42nd birthday, Ladipo revealed that she has never felt the desire to become a mother, despite her love for children.

The veteran broadcaster expressed her fondness for children but emphasized that she does not envision herself as a mother. She clarified that her decision to remain childless was not a factor in her divorce from her estranged husband, and she remains open to the possibility of remarriage in the future.

During a conversation with Daddy Freeze, Ladipo stated, “I am open to remarry. But I don’t want kids. I’m going to be 42 in November. I’ve never had the incline to have a child. I will be honest. I love children. Children love me. Children are actually attracted to me. I will go to a children party and they will start to sit around me. Children love me but I don’t have any feeling to have a child of my own. I can adopt. Maybe, adopt a whole orphanage and give them my last name. But I don’t want to.”

She further clarified that her ex-husband was indifferent to the idea of having children, and it was not a point of contention in their relationship. Ladipo’s stance on motherhood reflects her personal choice and individual preferences.

As Ladipo’s story resonates with many individuals who may also be navigating similar decisions about parenthood, her openness and honesty serve as a reminder of the diverse paths people can choose in life. Her willingness to share her perspective authentically adds depth to the ongoing conversation surrounding family dynamics and personal fulfillment.

By embracing her truth and staying true to her own desires, Ladipo exemplifies the importance of self-awareness and self-acceptance in shaping one’s life journey. Her story serves as a testament to the power of individual agency and the freedom to make choices that align with one’s values and aspirations.

As we celebrate the diversity of human experiences and choices, Shade Ladipo’s story stands as a testament to the beauty of embracing one’s authentic self, regardless of societal expectations or norms. Her journey reminds us that true fulfillment comes from honoring our innermost truths and living life on our own terms.
