Solidstar Opens Up About Overcoming Substance Abuse and Depression

Nigerian musician Joshua Iniyezo, popularly known as Solidstar, has made a significant lifestyle change by giving up smoking and alcohol consumption. This decision comes after a troubling period where he was captured in a distressing video looking disheveled and lost on the streets, shared by his concerned brother, Joseph.

In a recent interview, Solidstar shared that he is now in a much better place both physically and mentally. He revealed that he has successfully overcome substance abuse and is focused on his health and well-being. “I am very well and healthy now. I have been out of the hospital for four months, but I am still taking my medication. I no longer smoke or take alcohol,” he stated.

The singer attributed his turnaround to the importance of communication, acknowledging that his depression stemmed from keeping things to himself and viewing those around him as adversaries. Solidstar expressed gratitude for the unwavering support he received from friends, colleagues, fans, and his family during his challenging times.

This transformation in Solidstar’s life serves as a powerful reminder of the impact of seeking help, opening up, and making positive changes. It is a testament to the strength and resilience of the human spirit, inspiring others to prioritize their well-being and mental health. Solidstar’s journey towards recovery is a beacon of hope and a testament to the importance of self-care and seeking support when needed.
