Solidstar Claims ‘One In A Million’ Inspired New Sound in Nigerian Music Industry

Solidstar, the Nigerian singer also known as Joshua Iniyezo, recently shared how his hit song ‘One In A Million’ revolutionized the music industry in Nigeria. In a candid conversation on The Honest Bunch podcast, Solidstar revealed that his unique musical style, showcased in the song, led many to mistake him for a Ghanaian artist when he first rose to fame.

The singer proudly stated that ‘One In A Million’ not only earned him the title of Best New Artist at the Nigerian Music Video Awards but also served as a catalyst for a new sound in Nigerian music. Solidstar went on to claim that the remix of his song with 2Baba inspired the popular track ‘Possibility’ by P-Square, featuring the same artist.

“It was my song that changed the sound of the Nigerian music industry,” Solidstar emphasized. “I slowed the tempo down and introduced a unique style that soon became a trend, with many artists following suit.”

Solidstar’s impact on the music scene is undeniable, with his innovative approach leaving a lasting impression on the industry. As he continues to push boundaries and explore new musical horizons, his legacy as a trailblazer in Nigerian music remains firmly intact.
