Kaduna Schoolchildren Abducted by Armed Bandits Released Unharmed

Armed bandits have finally released the 286 schoolchildren who were abducted from their school in Kuriga, Kaduna State. According to a report by DAILY NIGERIAN, the schoolchildren were taken on March 7 from their school in Kuriga, a town in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, and were held captive in the forest by the terrorists. It remains unclear whether a ransom was paid for their release.

The governor of Kaduna State personally announced the release of the students in a statement on Sunday, expressing gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for prioritizing the safety and security of Nigerians and ensuring the safe return of the abducted Kuriga school children. The National Security Adviser, Mal. Nuhu Ribadu, was also praised for his leadership and coordination in the operation that led to the successful outcome.

The Nigerian Army was commended for their courage, determination, and commitment in degrading criminal elements and restoring security in the communities. The statement also extended thanks to all Nigerians who fervently prayed for the safe return of the school children, declaring it a day of joy and giving glory to Almighty Allah.
