NSCDC Deploys 5,230 Personnel for Easter Security in FCT

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Federal Capital Territory Command, under the leadership of Commandant Olusola Odumosu, has taken proactive measures to ensure peace and order during the Easter celebrations. With 5,230 personnel deployed across the FCT, the command aims to maintain security and prevent any potential threats during the holiday season.

In response to intelligence reports indicating a possible attack in the FCT, Odumosu emphasized the importance of surveillance and intelligence gathering to thwart any planned incidents. Various special squads, including the Armed Squad, Female Strike Force, Counter Terrorism Unit, Special Crack Squad (operation Adaka-su), and Agro Rangers, have been mobilized to uphold law and order.

Odumosu’s message to his officers is clear: prioritize the safety of critical national assets and the well-being of FCT residents. He warned against carelessness and overzealousness, stressing the need to adhere to operational protocols and avoid unnecessary harassment of innocent individuals.

Residents of the FCT are reassured of security measures in place, with the NSCDC providing protection at places of worship, recreational centers, markets, shopping malls, motor parks, and other vulnerable areas. Miscreants and vandals are put on notice, as the NSCDC is prepared to enforce the law and hold accountable anyone involved in criminal activities.

As the Easter holiday approaches, the NSCDC’s presence serves as a deterrent to potential threats, ensuring a safe and peaceful environment for all. With a commitment to upholding security and order, the command under Odumosu’s leadership remains vigilant and ready to respond to any challenges that may arise.
