The Plateau State Police Command has made a significant breakthrough in combating crime by apprehending a fake soldier and 43 other individuals involved in various criminal activities such as kidnapping, cult activities, and gun running. Commissioner of Police, Steve Yabanet, revealed this during a press conference in Jos.

In addition to these crimes, some suspects were also arrested for armed robbery, criminal conspiracy, and defilement of minors. Among the apprehended individuals is an imposter posing as a military personnel, engaging in heinous acts like kidnapping, armed robbery, and gun trafficking.

The police commissioner emphasized the implementation of multiple strategies to curb crime in the state, ensuring that perpetrators are apprehended and held accountable through legal processes. Following thorough investigations, all suspects will be promptly charged and prosecuted in court.
