Asisat Oshoala’s Participation in Super Falcons 2024 Olympic Qualifier in Doubt

Nigerian football star Asisat Oshoala may miss out on the upcoming Super Falcons 2024 Olympic Games qualifier against South Africa’s Banyana Banyana. Oshoala, who was on the bench for the first leg match in Abuja, arrived at camp just a day before the game. Head coach Randy Waldrum expressed doubts about her readiness for the match and has not confirmed her participation in the return fixture.

“I don’t think she was fully prepared for the game, and I can’t say for certain if she will play in the next match,” Waldrum told the press.

The Super Falcons are set to travel to South Africa for the crucial second leg of the final qualifying round, holding a slim 1-0 lead from the first leg. The team will be looking to secure their spot in the Olympic Games, but Oshoala’s potential absence could be a significant blow to their chances.

Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story as the Super Falcons gear up for a tough battle against Banyana Banyana.
