The highly anticipated fourth season of Amazon’s “The Boys” is set to premiere next month, and the official trailer offers a tantalizing preview of what’s to come.

Continuing from the events of the previous season, Karl Urban’s Butcher and Antony Starr’s Homelander are poised to disrupt their own lives in a bid to bring down others. Butcher reveals to Hughy and Starlight that he’s running out of time due to his weakened heart and plans to unleash a deadly virus on the supe community. Teaming up with Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s new character, Butcher finds an ally who shares his goal of wiping out all supers to save humanity.

Meanwhile, at Vought HQ, Homelander urges his team to embrace their power and become “wrathful gods” against protesting humans.

With only eight episodes in the upcoming season, the description teases a world on the brink, with Victoria Neuman inching closer to the Oval Office under Homelander’s influence. Butcher, facing imminent death and loss, struggles to lead The Boys while the rest of the team grows disillusioned with his leadership.

As the stakes reach new heights, the team must overcome internal conflicts and unite to save the world before it’s too late.
