Nigerian Highlife Star Flavour Mourns Father’s Passing

Chinedu Okoli, better known as Flavour, the renowned Nigerian highlife artist, is grieving the loss of his father, Elder Onyemaechi Okoli. Flavour shared the heartbreaking news with his followers on X (formerly Twitter), revealing that his father passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2023.

Expressing his sorrow in Igbo, Flavour bid farewell to his beloved father, fondly known as “Ijele.” He wrote, “My father, Ijele’s father, rest well. God gave and God has taken.”

Following Flavour’s announcement, an outpouring of condolences flooded the comment section from fans and colleagues, offering their sympathies and support during this difficult time.
