‘Monogamy Doesn’t Work, Every Man Should Have Multiple Women’ – Seun Kuti

Controversial Nigerian musician Seun Kuti has downplayed monogamy, saying it “doesn’t work”.

The Afrobeat crooner encouraged men to embrace polygamy, stressing that every man should have multiple women.

Speaking on the ‘Bahd & Boujee’ podcast, Seun claimed that having multiple women demonstrates power and affluence.

He said, “Monogamy doesn’t work. As a powerful man, you must have the support of numerous powerful goddesses. You know, women that are in your life because the ancestors want to put them there. You share with them.”

He added that his late father and Afrobeat pioneer, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, had over 100 concubines despite marrying 27 women in one day.

Seun Kuti is publicly known to be married to one woman; his wife, Yetunde Kuti.
