Following her arrest on suspicion of possessing soft drugs, US rapper Nicki Minaj has cancelled her second concert in Amsterdam scheduled for this weekend. The arrest occurred at Schiphol airport as Minaj was about to depart for Manchester on her Pink Friday 2 World Tour. She was detained for several hours before being released after paying a fine.
Concert promoters MOJO announced the cancellation of the Amsterdam show, scheduled for June 2nd at Ziggo Dome, citing the events of last week. Ticket refunds will be provided at the point of sale, according to the promoters.
Minaj took to social media platform X to explain that authorities found weed in her luggage, which she claimed belonged to her security guard. She expressed frustration that her bags were searched without consent.
😩 now they said they found weed & that another group of ppl have to come here to weigh the pre-rolls. Keep in mind they took my bags without consent. My security has already advised them those pre-rolls belong to him. Oh yea & the pilot wants me to take my ig post down.

While she missed a performance in Manchester due to the delay, Minaj assured fans she would return for a second concert on May 30th.
Minaj hinted on social media that the arrest in Amsterdam was part of a plot to sabotage her tour. Cannabis is commonly misconceived to be legal in the Netherlands, where it is technically illegal but tolerated in small quantities as part of a longstanding policy. However, transporting drugs to another country remains illegal.
Nicki Minaj, known for her flamboyant costumes and chart-topping hits like “Starships” and “Anaconda,” is widely regarded as one of the most influential female artists in rap.
