Cat Rescued from Chimney After Day-and-a-Half Ordeal

Desborough, England – A team of chimney sweeps from Avondale Sweeps in England successfully rescued a 10-month-old cat named Luna after she was trapped inside the chimney of her owners’ home for a day and a half.

Owners Dylan Tansur and Amy Becks recounted that Luna had climbed through a skylight to the roof of their home and subsequently fell into the chimney, becoming stranded.

Initial rescue efforts by firefighters proved unsuccessful, as Luna fled further into the chimney stack, complicating the situation. Subsequently, the Avondale Sweeps team was called in for assistance.

Using specialist cameras, the crew was able to pinpoint Luna’s location within the chimney. After several hours of investigation and effort, they managed to break into a redundant flue to locate and rescue Luna.

Avondale Sweeps shared the successful rescue on their social media, bringing relief to Luna’s worried owners and highlighting the dedication and expertise of the chimney sweep team.
