Morgan Freeman Honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award at Monte-Carlo TV Festival

At the 63rd Monte-Carlo Television Festival, acclaimed actor Morgan Freeman was honoured with the Crystal Nymph lifetime achievement award.

The 87-year-old Freeman expressed his gratitude for the recognition, likening it to a significant endorsement of his work.

Freeman, who serves as an executive producer for “The Gray House,” a series that debuted at the festival and draws inspiration from true events of the US Civil War, spoke on the responsibility of truthful storytelling.

When questioned about his influence on real-world progress, particularly after portraying the US president thrice before Barack Obama’s presidency, Freeman humbly dismissed direct responsibility but acknowledged the potential impact of such portrayals.

The festival, which opened with Freeman’s accolade, will conclude its 5-day run on June 18.
