Veteran Comic Actor and Musician Martin Mull Dies at 80

Veteran American comic actor and musician, Martin Mull, has passed away at the age of 80. Mull died at his home in Los Angeles on Thursday, as confirmed by his wife, Wendy Mull, on Friday. Although she stated that he had been suffering from a long illness, no specific cause of death was provided.

Mull’s daughter, TV writer and comic artist Maggie Mull, also confirmed his passing. In a heartfelt Instagram post, she said, “My dad will be deeply missed by his wife and daughter, by his friends and coworkers, by fellow artists and comedians and musicians, and — the sign of a truly exceptional person — by many, many dogs.”

Melissa Joan Hart, Mull’s co-star in the series ‘Sabrina the Teenage Witch,’ paid tribute to him on Instagram, describing him as “a wonderful man who I am better for knowing.”

Martin Mull first gained widespread attention in the 1970s with his roles in shows such as ‘Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman’ and ‘Fernwood 2-Night.’ He remained a prominent figure in television and film over the next fifty years, leaving a lasting impact on the entertainment industry.
