Tiwa Savage Reveals Olamide Rejected N100 Million for a Song Verse

Popular songstress Tiwa Savage has revealed that Olamide, the owner of the YBNL record label, turned down a ₦100 million payment for a verse in her song.

In a post on her Instagram page on Wednesday, Tiwa explained that she initially approached Olamide’s management, expecting to pay for his contribution. However, when Olamide learned she was the artist in question, he refused to take the payment.

Tiwa noted that Olamide declined the money due to his understanding of the hardships female artists face in the music industry. Expressing gratitude, she highlighted their sibling-like bond and appreciated his support and generosity.

“I was talking to his management, I did not want to talk to him directly because he would want to do it for free. I was willing to pay and his team charged me ₦100 million. When Olamide asked them who the artist was, he just said NO. He won’t take it. He said I’m his sister and he knows how difficult it is for a woman to make it in the industry. And guess what? He gave the verse for free. Good people exist and Baddo is one,” she shared.
