Fally Ipupa Wows Over 7,000 Fans in Lyon on First Stop of European Tour

Congolese music sensation Fally Ipupa kicked off his European summer tour with a vibrant performance in Lyon, France, captivating an audience of over 7,000 fans. The crowd, composed of both young and old, gathered from various regions to witness the African music giant in action.

Fally Ipupa’s career, which spans over two decades, is deeply rooted in Congolese rumba, enriched by contemporary urban African sounds. Known for his unpredictable and versatile style, he occasionally incorporates elements of American hip-hop into his music, creating a unique blend that has propelled his hits to international acclaim.

“It’s a fusion, it’s beautiful colors, it’s a real thrill,” commented Isaac Kalonji, one of the choreographers on Ipupa’s tour, describing the dynamic and energetic performances that define the artist’s shows.

The two-hour concert in Lyon featured a dazzling array of musicians and dancers from Ipupa’s Congolese troupe, Sebène, alongside French dancers. The seamless integration of diverse dance styles and musical influences left the audience in awe.

Fally Ipupa’s European tour will continue with performances in Italy and Portugal, bringing his electrifying stage presence and musical prowess to fans across the continent.
