Controversial Radio Personality, Daddy Freeze, Reacts to Appeal Court Fine for Alleged Adultery

Renowned media personality, Daddy Freeze, has responded to a recent court ruling that ordered him to pay N5 million as a fine for allegedly sleeping with another man’s wife. The ruling, made by the Rivers State High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, was delivered on February 18, 2021.

According to reports, Daddy Freeze was ordered to pay the fine to Paul Odekina, the husband of Benedicta Elechi, the woman with whom he was accused of committing adultery. The incident allegedly took place many years ago, with Daddy Freeze claiming that he and the woman met in church and had a consensual relationship.

In a recent Instagram live show, Daddy Freeze addressed the allegations, denying any wrongdoing and stating that he will pay the fine. He explained that his wristwatch alone is worth over N100 million, but he insisted on his innocence.

"I will pay the adultery fine; my wrist watch alone cost over N100 million, but I am innocent," he stated. "This happened many years ago. I was going through serious torment, so was the lady, and we both jam many years later in church; this happened over 12 years ago."

Daddy Freeze initially appealed the court’s decision, but the Appeal Court has upheld the ruling. The media personality’s reaction has sparked a heated debate on social media, with many calling for him to be held accountable for his actions.

The controversy surrounding Daddy Freeze’s alleged adultery has put his reputation under scrutiny, and it remains to be seen how the situation will unfold in the coming days.
