Nigerian Meteorological Agency Predicts Rainy Weather Across the Country

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has forecast thundery and rainy weather activities from Monday to Wednesday across the country. According to NiMet’s weather outlook released on Sunday in Abuja, the agency predicts morning thunderstorms over parts of Taraba, Adamawa, Zamfara, Kebbi, Katsina, Kano, and Kaduna States on Monday.

Later in the day, thunderstorms are expected over parts of Taraba, Kaduna, Yobe, Katsina, Kano, Borno, Bauchi, and Jigawa states. In the North Central region, rains are anticipated over parts of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Niger, and Nasarawa states during the morning hours, with thunderstorms and rains expected later in the day over parts of the FCT, Niger, Kwara, Plateau, and Kogi States.

On Tuesday, NiMet predicts morning thunderstorms over Adamawa, Taraba, Kaduna, Gombe, Katsina, Kano, Bauchi, Yobe, Borno, and Jigawa states. Thunderstorms are also expected over parts of Adamawa, Taraba, Gombe, Bauchi, Yobe, Borno, and Jigawa states later in the day.

In the North Central region, rains are expected over parts of the FCT, Benue, and Kogi States during the morning hours, with thunderstorms and rains anticipated later in the day over parts of the FCT, Plateau, Nasarawa, Niger, Kogi, Kwara, and Benue States.

On Wednesday, morning thunderstorms are expected over parts of Sokoto, Kebbi, and Zamfara States, with thunderstorms anticipated over the entire region later in the day. In the North Central region, rains are anticipated over Niger and Kwara States during the morning hours, with thunderstorms and rains expected later in the day over Plateau, Nasarawa, FCT, Kogi, Kwara, and Benue States.

In the southern region, morning rains are anticipated over parts of Ogun, Ondo, Delta, Cross River, and Akwa Ibom States, with thunderstorms and intermittent rains expected in the afternoon and evening hours.

Residents of Nigeria are advised to prepare for the rainy weather and take necessary precautions to avoid any disruptions.
