Simi Opens Up About Music Industry, Savage Behavior, and Twitter

Simi Opens Up About Her Music and Twitter Experience

In a recent episode of the Zero Conditions Podcast, Nigerian singer Simi shared her thoughts on her music and the music industry as a whole. The singer, known for her witty online presence, also spoke about her experience on Twitter and why she’s become less active on the platform.

When asked about why she stopped being "savage" online, Simi clarified that her intention was never to be intentionally savage, but rather to respond authentically. She explained that she still responds quickly to online comments, but doesn’t see it as being "savage" because her goal is not to be toxic.

Simi also revealed that she is just as witty in real life as she is online, saying, "That’s how I am in real life, though; I’d say I’m very quick with it. If someone says sorry, I would say sorry for yourself; I’m a joker as well."

However, Simi expressed her disappointment with the current state of Twitter, saying, "Twitter isn’t the way it used to be; it used to be better. I don’t think it’s because people are now awake, though. I feel like Twitter has become a competition for who can be the most toxic or the loudest person and I don’t have fun with it like I used to. Now I hardly go on it."

The singer’s candid comments offer a glimpse into her thoughts on the music industry and social media, and serve as a reminder of the importance of authenticity and kindness online.
