Cristiano Ronaldo scored the 500th league goal of his club career on Thursday, netting from open play for the first time in an Al Nassr jersey. According to the sporting website Fan Nation, the Saudi Pro League title favourites found the back of the net 21 minutes into their away match at Al‑Wehda. Ronaldo finished clinically with his left foot after a pass from Abdulrahman Ghareeb.

Ronaldo’s league tally now includes 311 goals for Real Madrid, 103 for Manchester United, 81 for Juventus and three for Sporting Lisbon. This was his second goal for Al Nassr, following a late penalty in last week’s 2‑2 draw at Al Fateh. Although he did not perform his famous “SIU” celebration after the penalty—because the goal was not enough to secure a win—he treated the fans at King Abdul Aziz Stadium to his full trademark celebration routine after the open‑play strike.
