Meagan Good Returns to the Small Screen in Lifetime’s “Terry McMillan Presents: Forever”

Actress Meagan Good is set to star and executive produce alongside Taye Diggs in Lifetime’s new original movie, “Terry McMillan Presents: Forever”. The film, directed by Charles Murray, is set to premiere on Saturday, August 24, at 8 p.m. ET.

The movie centers around Johnnie (Diggs), a military veteran who returns home to find divorce papers waiting for him. He then meets a local policewoman, Carlie (Good), who pulled him over for speeding. Determined to win her heart, Johnnie must first win over her three daughters and rid himself of old fears and former regrets to find love and gain family.

“Terry McMillan Presents: Forever” is the second film under the previously announced “Terry McMillan Presents” umbrella. The first installment, “Terry McMillan Presents: Tempted By Love”, starring Garcelle Beauvais, Vaughn W. Hebron, Lela Rochon Fuqua, and Loretta Devine, premieres on August 17.

The new slate of films from McMillan will focus on the love and lives of African American women, as part of Lifetime’s 40th anniversary. “As women, we can be messy. We can be complicated. We can be so many things,” said McMillan in a statement. “Life is never tied up in a bow so it’s thrilling to be back in business with Lifetime, who allows women to tell our own stories in an authentic way.”

Lifetime EVP and head of programming Elaine Frontain Bryant added, “Terry is an American treasure with her ability to capture the female experience in finding love and happiness. We are so excited to partner with her on these new movies that I know will also resonate with our viewers.”
