Snoop Dogg to Carry Paris Olympic Flame in Final Stretch

Famous American rapper Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr, known to the world as Snoop Dogg, has been entrusted with the honor of carrying the Paris Olympic flame in the final stretch ahead of the highly anticipated opening ceremony. This coveted role will mark a memorable occasion for the hip-hop legend.

The opening ceremony, which will take place on July 26, 2024, promises to be a spectacular event with over 10,000 athletes expected to gather on boats on the historic Seine River.

As the countdown begins, Snoop Dogg will lead a parade of torch carriers, making a stop in the Paris suburb of Saint-Denis. According to Saint-Denis mayor Mathieu Hanotin, Snoop Dogg will join an international cast to complete the last leg of the Olympic flame journey.

“This is an exceptional honor,” exclaimed Hanotin in his official X account. “Saint Denis: last step before the Eiffel Tower. An international cast @SnoopDogg for the last stretch of the Olympic Flame.”

Notably, Snoop Dogg will not be the only celebrity carrying the torch. Other esteemed torch carriers include French rapper MC Solaar and French actress Laetitia Casta.
