US pop star Taylor Swift has spoken out about a deadly knife attack at a dance class in Southport, northern England, which left two children dead and six others critically injured.

Swift, who has been a global icon in the music industry for over a decade, expressed her shock and sympathy for the families affected by the tragic incident. In an Instagram post, she wrote: “The horror of yesterday’s attack in Southport is washing over me continuously, and I’m just completely in shock.”

The attack occurred on Tuesday at the Hart Space dance studio, which was themed around Swift’s music. Police have since launched an investigation into the incident, with no arrests made so far.

The studio, which was filled with children who were fans of Swift’s music, turned into a scene of chaos and horror after the attack. The two children who died were identified as nine-year-old Alice Dasilva Aguiar and seven-year-old Elsie Dot Stancombe. Six other children are still receiving treatment in the hospital for their critical injuries.

Swift’s post resonated with fans and the music industry, with many expressing their condolences and solidarity with the families affected by the tragedy.

“Taylor Swift’s statement is a heartbreaking reminder of the devastating impact of violence on families and communities,” said a spokesperson for the entertainment industry. “Our thoughts are with the victims and their loved ones during this difficult time.”
