Hawk Tuah Girl Rakes in $65,000 from Viral Merchandise

Viral Star Hailey Welch Makes a Fortune from Hawk Tuah Girl Merchandise

Hailey Welch, the 18-year-old star behind the viral "Hawk Tuah Girl" meme, is finally cashing in on her newfound fame. According to Rolling Stone, Welch has partnered with Fathead Threads, a local Tennessee apparel brand, to sell merchandise featuring her signature move. The brand has already sold a whopping 2,000 hats, generating roughly $65,000 in revenue. Welch reportedly receives an undisclosed percentage of sales, indicating she’s made a significant amount from the merchandise.

The viral sensation, which originated from a Tim & Dee TV video, has become a big-time meme and clip on social media platforms like TikTok and X. In the video, Welch humorously answers a question about a move that makes men go crazy in bed, saying "Aw, you gotta give ’em that ‘hawk tuah’ and spit on that thang! You get me?"

Despite going viral, Welch has not received a dime from the initial video. Jason Poteete, from Fathead Threads, has been working to help Welch monetize her moment. "Of course, she hasn’t gotten a dime from the first viral video that went out," Poteete said. "Nobody was asking permission for her to do nothing, neither. I just wanted her to get some profit off of this deal."

The good news for Welch is that major talent agencies are now in talks with her, potentially paving the way for more lucrative opportunities. Here’s hoping the 18-year-old star can squeeze every cent out of her viral fame.
