Israel’s Military Strikes Gaza School, Killing 93, Including Women and Children

In a pre-dawn strike on Saturday, Israel’s military claimed to have killed at least 19 Palestinian militants in a school compound in Gaza City. However, rescue workers reported a staggering 93 deaths, including women and children.

According to the Israeli military, the strike targeted a Hamas command and control center located in the Al-Tabieen religious school, where militants were planning attacks against Israel and its security forces. The military cited an intelligence investigation and provided the names of the alleged militants killed in the strike.

The military statement claimed that the strike was carried out using three precise munitions, causing no severe damage to the compound. However, the high number of civilian casualties has sparked international condemnation, despite Israel’s claims that the target was a militant stronghold.

In a separate statement, the military said there was a high probability that Ashraf Juda, a top militant of Islamic Jihad, was present at the military headquarters during the strike. However, it is unclear whether he was hit during the attack.

The incident has raised concerns about the humanitarian situation in Gaza, where civilians are often caught in the crossfire between Israeli forces and Palestinian militants. The international community is calling for an investigation into the incident and a resolution to the ongoing conflict.
