Former Miss South Africa Contestant Seeks New Opportunity, Confirms Participation in Miss Universe Nigeria

Nigerian model of Nigerian and Mozambican heritage, Chidimma Vanessa Onwe Adetshina, recently withdrew from the Miss South Africa 2024 competition amidst questions regarding her nationality. Despite being a top finalist, Adetshina bowed out after the South African Department of Home Affairs accused her mother of fraudulent activity and identity theft.

However, it seems that Adetshina won’t let this setback bring her down, and she has just announced her new direction: participation in the 2024 Miss Universe Nigeria competition!

According to Media Talk Africa, Adetshina had a Top 11 finish at Miss South Africa 2024 before parting ways with the pageant under contentious circumstances. Since then, it was revealed that the South African government claims her mother may be liable for fraudulent actions and identity deception, a grave accusation given its severe implications.

For his part, Adetshina published a fresh video statement claiming: “I’ve decided to [go on to] contend within the 2024 Miss Universe Nigeria competition, in addition [thereby, in addition a prospect within [in] Africa ‘ s foremost and most recognized model of African descent, where you’re the only most significant contest of African.
