Israel-Hamas Hostage Crisis: Families Demand Ceasefire as Bodies of Six Captives Recovered
In a tense standoff, families of hostages and their supporters protested outside Israel’s defense ministry in Tel Aviv, demanding a ceasefire deal to return their loved ones home. According to reports, the six captives were taken alive from their homes in Nir Oz and Nirim, and their families are seeking justice and answers. “The longer they’re there, the more body bags we get. We want to bring our hostages home alive as soon as possible,” said protester Adi Israeli.
The recovery of the bodies has sparked outrage and calls for a ceasefire agreement. Israel’s opposition leader, Yair Lapid, criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for not acting quickly enough in talks, saying the recovery of the bodies showed that a ceasefire deal was needed now to prevent further loss of life.
