New Managing Director Vows to Drive Positive Change at Niger Delta Power Holding Company

Jennifer Adighije, the newly appointed Managing Director of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC), has pledged to drive positive change within the organization by leveraging technology and human capital. Adighije made the commitment during a handover ceremony in Abuja on Monday, where she thanked President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima for the opportunity to serve.

The new MD emphasized that the company’s mandate is clear: to execute and manage national IPP assets optimally. Her vision, she said, rests on three pillars – optimising asset performance, enhancing process efficiency, and leveraging technology and human capital for positive change.

Adighije underscored the importance of human capital, stating that it is the organization’s greatest asset. She expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with her new team, comprising diverse backgrounds and expertise, to propel the company forward.

The outgoing Managing Director, Chiedu Ugbo, thanked President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima for allowing him to complete his tenure. Ugbo praised the NDPHC staff for their dedication and commitment, saying they have navigated challenges and fostered a culture of collaboration.

Ugbo welcomed Adighije, expressing confidence in her leadership and urging the staff to support her in achieving the company’s goals. As he bid farewell, he prayed for the success of the new team, saying "May God Almighty unite you and help you work as a team. May He preserve you from stumbling and, at the end of your term, present you faultless."

Adighije has called on everyone to support her team in aligning with President Buhari’s agenda for accelerating prosperity through energy efficiency. She encouraged the staff to embrace her ideas, share their insights, and continue to foster the collaborative spirit that defines a successful organization.
